Canada Fishing - Fishing Canada Walleye, Northern Pike, Muskie, and Smallmouth Bass on Eagle Lake

Fin & Feather's sheltered location on the Eagle River is a short distance from all the fishing "Hot Spots." Eagle Lake's vast 68,000 acres is home to five of the most popular game fish sought by avid fishermen worldwide.

Smallmouth Bass Fishing Fish the many reefs or rocky shorelines on nearly 500 islands for this favorite on light tackle. Pound for pound, many anglers find the smallmouth to be the best fighter of all popular gamefish. Each year many bass up to six pounds are caught by our guests.

Northern Pike Fishing Fish the weed beds starting right off our dock for this great game fish. Spoons, stick baits, spinners or live bait are big producers for this hungry monster. On many years the Eagle River produces the largest pike of the season.

Muskie Fishing The border shield waters of Eagle Lake are renowned for its world class Muskie population. Our 48 inch or larger size limit (bring your own heavyweight tackle) speaks for itself. Cast or troll for that trophy of a lifetime

The Float Planes - "The fly-in to Ontario North's Outposts"

Once you arrive at Fin and Feather Resort you will check in for your Ontario North Wilderness Adventure and will fly-in to your outpost utilizing one of the aircraft shown below. The float planes we utilize are a Cessna 185, a Dehavland Beaver, or a Dehavland Otter. These workhorses of the north is what make a Canadian fly-in fishing trip possible. The take off and landing, the thrill and excitement of the flight, and the scenery from the air is something all our guests look forward to.

Vaughn Lake Outpost Actually a bay of Lac Seul, measuring fourteen miles in length and four miles in width at it widest point, VAUGHN LAKE is a virtual Walleye factory. Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass and Perch are often overlooked. There is another adjoining lake to fish on as well. At Vaughan Lake, enjoy a 34' x 34' three bedroom cabin with screened porch. The outpost has hot & cold running water, showers, solar power, propane stove, refrigerator, freezer, and can accommodate up to 8 people. Lynx Lake Outpost A beautiful lake to yourself, that you can fish regardless of the weather, LYNX LAKE is known for its Northern Pike (largest of 35 lbs. in 1987), with Walleye and Smallmouth Bass also here in numbers. Access to other lakes is easily obtained with a short portage. At Lynx Lake enjoy a 18' x 22' cabin with screened porch. The outpost has hot & cold running water, showers, generated power, propane stove, refrigerator, freezer, and can accommodate up to 8 people. Equipped with dependable 16' Lund Boats with new 9.9 Yamaha motors. For your safety we include HF radio communication with the main camp.

Vaughn Lake & Lynx Lake outposts are equipped with dependable 16' Lund boats and new 9.9 horsepower Yamaha motors. Each boat is equipped with swivel fishing seats, nets, life cushions, minnow buckets, and paddles.

Vaughn Lake is actually a very large bay of Lac Seul. Lynx lake is beautiful lake that you can fish regardless of the weather, Lynx lake is known for its Northern Pike (largest of 35 lbs. in 1987), with Walleye and Smallmouth Bass also here in numbers. Access to other lakes is easily obtained within a short portage of Lynx lake. Both lakes fish extremely well and are highly complemented by our guests. Your fishing trip to Fin and Feather Lodge is a short drive. We are 120 miles north of International Falls, MN. Take the shortest route to International Falls, MN crossing into Fort Frances. Take Hwy 11 / Scott St. east. Stay on Hwy 11 until you reach Hwy 502 (about 15 miles). Turn north on 502, go until you reach Ojibway Dr. (about 90 miles). Turn left, go to the first stop sign (Hwy 594). Turn left on Hwy 594 until you come to stop sign (Cascade Road). Turn left on Cascade, go about a mile to the Resort (follow the signs).
