Fishing is one of the world’s most popular sports with millions of anglers all over the world. Tim Hales Fish Huts makes it possible to enjoy the great outdoors while at the same time lets you bond with family and friends.

We are located in Beaverton on the shores of Lake Simcoe and offer some of the best fishing in Ontario.

Raised on the shores of Lake Simcoe in Beaverton, Tim Hales has acquired many years of experience on the frozen surface of Lake Simcoe. As the owner/operator of Tim Hales Fish Huts, Tim is dedicated to providing a knowledgeable, personable, and safe ice fishing service.

Well known for it's exceptional ice fishing, Lake Simcoe is a favourite among many who enjoy fishing for Lake Trout, Perch and Whitefish. In the heart of Cottage Country, Lake Simcoe is just over an hour's commute from the Toronto area.

Raised on the shores of Lake Simcoe in Beaverton, Tim Hales has acquired many years experience on the frozen surface of Lake Simcoe. As the owner/operator of Tim Hales Fish Huts, Tim is dedicated to providing a knowledgeable, personable, and safe ice fishing service.

Regardless of the weather, you'll have peace of mind travelling in a warm Bombardier guided by a GPS navigation system. Once escorted to the grounds of your choice, whether it be Trout & Whitefish or Perch, your fish hut will be prepared with ice holes opened, the heat on, and "ready to fish". Landing nets, tip-up stands, minnows and pails are supplied in all our huts.

Our huts will fish up to 6 people in the day, and sleep 2 people at night. They are equipped with padded benches, a propane stove to heat the hut or to cook on, as well as a propane lamp for night fishing adventures. All of our huts also feature a unique hole system which allows you to change from large, rectangular holes to 7” round holes. This system gives you more usable floor space and is much safer for kids. For those that prefer the large holes, it only takes a moment to change. All our fishing grounds have outhouse facilities. Whether it be a day, night or a week long trip, you’ll be comfortable in our modern, clean huts.

No need to fight the crowds, Tim Hales Fish Huts offers plenty of parking at our private lakeside location.

• Minimum 3 person charge on day shifts on Saturdays & Sundays.
• For larger groups, Huts can be booked beside one another. The huts are within approximately 50 steps of each other

All our ice fishing huts accommodate up to six people. Our office opens at 7:30 a.m daily.

Our tackle shop is stocked with a variety of merchandise for hard water fishing, including fishing sticks, spreaders, spoons, jigs, and much more. We also have a variety of rod and reel combos in stock.

Directions to Tim Hales Fish Huts

From South:

• Take Highway #48 North to Highway #12
• North on Highway #12 & watch for McDonald’s restaurant
• Continue on Highway #12 to the 7th Line, which is two roads past the McDonald’s (2.6 km past McDonald’s)
• Turn left on the 7th Line, when you come to the stop sign, go straight through to the dead end of the 7th Line We are located at the dead end of the 7th line
• (1.6 km from Highway #12)

From North:

• Take Highway #12
• South Proceed through the town of Brechin. (you will cross two railway lines past Brechin)
• Just before the town of Beaverton, turn Right on the 7th Line,
• when you come to the stop sign, go straight through to the dead end of the 7th line. We are located at the dead end of the 7th line

Note: Be careful not to turn on the 7th Concession of Ramara Township, stay on Highway #12 until you go through the town of Brechin. - If you wish to go through the town of Beaverton, the 7th line is the first road past the Beer Store on Durham Rd#23 (Mara Rd) going North out of town.

Our main mode of transportation is by Bombardier snow buses. Equipped with GPS navigation systems, our Bombardiers ensure comfort, warmth and reliability in all weather conditions.

For that early season action, we also have a variety of light weight equipment and enclosed transporters to get you on those hot spots first.

Fishing through the ice requires skill and knowledge as does open water angling, but anyone can ice fish successfully if he/she does the homework. Learning about the water to be fished, the equipment and its capabilities, proper clothing and safety precautions are all part of a successful, enjoyable winter fishing experience. Perhaps the best way to get started is to accompany a friend or neighbor on a half-day ice fishing outing. If you are unable to locate anyone to go with, the next best alternative is to visit a tackle shop in a popular ice fishing area. The proprietors are interested in seeing that you have a successful and enjoyable trip and will provide you with all of the necessary equipment. You may also watch for announcements of local ice fishing contests or tournaments run by local sportsmen's clubs -- ice fishermen tend to be a highly social group, eager to share tips, techniques and stories.

Ice fishing, as a winter getaway, can offer solitude or an opportunity to bond with family and friends.
